1. Who we are

revuu ("we", "us") is a video platform for sharing and discovering product reviews. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: your email address and display name when you register.
  • Profile data: channel name, profile picture, banner and bio you choose to add.
  • Content: videos, comments, likes, ratings and playlists you create.
  • Usage data: watch history, search queries and subscriptions.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and device information collected via platform logs.
  • Payment data: when you tip or boost, payment is processed by our payment provider; we store the transaction record but not your full card details.

3. Why we use your data (legal basis)

  • Performance of a contract: to provide your account, display your content and enable features you request.
  • Legitimate interests: to recommend content, keep the platform secure and analyse abuse.
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies and optional marketing — you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: to retain records where required by law.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. Non-essential cookies (such as analytics) only run if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage.

5. Who we share data with

  • Cloud hosting & database providers that store and serve the platform.
  • Payment provider that processes tips and boosts.
  • Email provider that delivers verification and notification emails.
  • Authorities where we are legally required to do so.

We never sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Watch history and similar usage data is kept until you delete it. You can request full deletion at any time (see below).

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data.
  • Rectify data that is inaccurate.
  • Erasure — delete your account and associated data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting lawfully processed data.

To exercise any of these rights, use the Delete account option in your profile, or contact us through the support channel. We respond within one month.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed outside the UK/EEA. We rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

9. Children

The platform is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has registered, contact us so we can remove the account.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent version.
